Sustainability

We take pride in designing products that don’t just look good, they do good.

Sustainability by Design

Our Roots Run Green
It’s no coincidence that FCI calls Madison (the birthplace of Earth Day and curbside recycling) home. Sustainability has always been part of the culture here, and it’s woven into everything we build.

Building Smarter, Not Just New
When we built our headquarters, we started with a bold idea: reuse what others might waste.

  • The building’s front glass façade was reclaimed from a construction site, keeping tons of materials out of the landfill.
  • We continue that same mindset every day, choosing lasting materials and rethinking how products can evolve instead of expire.

Longevity is the Best Sustainability
We design for the long haul, because a product that lasts twice as long cuts its footprint in half.

  • Most of what we make is crafted from durable metals and permanent materials.
  • Many of our systems are modular, so they can grow, shift, or adapt over time instead of being discarded.
  • Products like our PanelRak™ and Modular Tube Frame Cabinetry™ can be reconfigured or reskinned to fit new layouts, new designs, or new ideas.
  • Our MTF Foodservice Kiosk™ can be rebranded easily, transforming from sandwiches to tacos without tossing a single cabinet.

Everyday Actions, Real Impact
Sustainability isn’t just in what we make, it’s in how we operate.

  • We recycle metals, paper, plastics, batteries, lightbulbs and more.
  • We safely dispose of e-waste during regular e-cycle drives.
  • We reuse and repurpose scrap materials whenever possible.
  • Even our graphics systems are designed to be “evergreen,” allowing easy updates without restarting from scratch.

Our goal is simple:

Build products that work hard, look great, and stay relevant far longer than expected.

Because when design lasts, so does the planet.
